The “Casona”
The “casona” or mansion used to be the weekend playground of one of the first owners of El Cid. Built in a typical “hacienda” style, it has witnessed decades of gatherings of family and friends. The stairway at the entrance gives way to the grand ballroom through intricate wrought iron gates, where the impressive stained glass of “El Don en su Gran Comilona” is. The structure also features a large dining room, kitchen, and three large terraces that wrap around it from which you can enjoy views of the gardens, fountain, lake, and swimming pool. Beneath the house, a space surrounded by beautiful archways can be used as a chapel or reception area for guests. The variety of options and the versatility the “casona” offers will most definitely make your event unique.
The Gardens
The expanse of gardens is one of the most attractive aspects of the place. Everywhere you look, you will see tones of green with bursts of color. El Cid Eventos is situated within 30,000 m2 of beautifully manicured landscapes, and it is surrounded by fields of fine herbs (such as Basil, Rosemary, and Sage to name a few) grown for the local market and for export. With years of expertise in ornamental plants and landscaping, we grow many of the different varieties that you will see throughout the gardens in our very own greenhouses.
The Lake
The island in the middle of lake is the perfect setting for a small ceremony attended by close family and friends. The sound of the water and ripples from a soft breeze creates a feeling of calm. The lake sits atop what was once a corn field, and since it has been part of El Cid Eventos, our fauna has changed surprisingly as we now are home to a variety of new species, including cranes, ducks, tilapias, and carps.
The Esplanade
Recently constructed ex professo, the esplanade offers a space for larger events where guests can enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding gardens. The esplanade can comfortably accommodate more than 500 guests. Measured and built to perfection, it includes power outlets, ambient lighting, adequate drainage, and it also facilitates the mounting of different styles for all kind of events.
The Kitchen
The kitchen was built with the most demanding caterers in mind. Although right behind the esplanade, it is designed so that no guest has a view the caterers working during the event. The easy double access for waiters, power outlets, sinks and water supply, drainage, and unloading dock all make for a dream kitchen for caterers to work in. It also includes a staff bathroom with 50 lockers where they can keep their personal items secure during the event.
The Bathrooms
The modern bathrooms are situated conveniently between the esplanade and the “casona’s” garden, thus easing access for guests no matter where the event is being held. The mosaic tiled sinks were designed by Mosaicos Venecianos “Kolorines” as focal points of each bathroom.
